The Cost Of Saying Yes Too Quickly

Michelle stands in pink blazer and glasses posing on purple background beside text: What have you said yes to recently that deserves another look?

I’ve always wanted to help people.

It’s one of my strengths.

It’s also one of the easiest ways for me to overcommit.

I still catch myself saying yes before I’ve asked whether something fits the life I’m trying to build.

The funny thing is, every “yes” sounds reasonable by itself.

It’s only when I look at my calendar that I realize I’ve traded away the time I needed for the things that matter most.

I’ve learned that saying no isn’t selfish.

Sometimes it’s the most honest answer.

Every yes costs us something. Time. Energy. Focus. Presence.

The goal isn’t to stop helping people.

It’s to become more intentional about who, when, and how.

Your Rethink Moment

What have you said yes to recently that deserves another look?
