Real stories that inspire living with intention.
We all wear a lot of hats. And when life gets busy, it’s tempting to aim for perfection — keeping every ball in the air, every detail just right. But perfection doesn’t create peace. Intention does.
Recently, I was reminded of this truth while preparing for the upcoming Y-Not Be Lit workshops and masterminds. I caught myself fussing over details — timelines, materials, schedules. Then I paused. The whole purpose isn’t to get it perfect. It’s to create space where people can rise with clarity and remember what matters. That shift — perfection to intention — brought me back to center.
Lesson / Tactic
Perfection is a moving target. Intention is a compass. When you choose intention first, you free yourself from chasing the impossible and instead move with clarity toward what matters most.
Hats Off Challenge
Deep Thought
Write down one area of your life where you’re aiming for perfection. Then ask: What would it look like if I replaced perfection with intention?
Email me back with your reflection.
Hustle Inspiration
Pick one thing on your list that feels “heavy.” Ask: Am I doing this because I want to — or because I feel I should? If it’s obligation-only, release it.
Email me back with what you let go.
Reminder to Slow Down
Take 10 minutes this week to pause. No phone, no multitasking. Just breathe and notice. Write down one small moment you would’ve missed if you hadn’t slowed down.
Email me back and tell me what you noticed.
Closing Thought
Perfection drains. Intention fuels. Choose to live lit — one decision at a time.
Hats off,
